On the evening of June 23, 2025, during missile strikes targeting the American Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the Urbanmove 8 (UB8) development community acted quickly to inform and support members on our official Discord fan server. NagyLevediScratch10, a key community leader and lead developer, issued a serious announcement urging everyone in Qatar and surrounding areas to stay indoors and prioritize safety.
The missile attack, reported by multiple international news outlets and causing airspace closures across Qatar, Bahrain, and neighboring countries, initially caused concern among residents. However, the situation has since stabilized, and authorities confirm that Qatar is safer now.
In light of the improved conditions, the previous consideration to relocate UB8 development and servers to Hungary has been canceled. The community remains committed to staying in Qatar and continuing development locally.
